I look for 3 things when I have to choose a Face Cream:
1. It must provide adequate hydration for long hours.
2. It must make my skin look healthy.
3. It must make my skin look Glowy/Bright, However, at the same time it must not be a fairness cream, because I am girl with “Wheatish” complexion and I am in absolute love with my skin tone.
I have been using The Body Shop Drops Of Light Pure Healthy Brightening Day Cream for a year now and so far, it has ticked all the boxes.
Cost: MRP for 50ml jar is 1845 Indian Rupees. (MRP, as mentioned on the product when I purchased.)
Description:
This is a Day Cream and belongs to The Body Shop’s Drop Of Light Range.
Packaging is elegant and the container is made of heavy glass.
The colour of the cream is white and has mild soothing fragrance.
It is Lightweight and Non-sticky.
How do I use this Cream: I use it in the morning after cleansing and toning and massage it in the upward motion.
My Overall Experience:
This is Lightweight and Non-sticky Day Cream and literally keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day until I wash my face for the night regime.
It absorbs quickly without much effort. Also, the soothing fragrance perks up my mood when I apply it.
It’s been a year now that I have been using this Day Cream and I can feel the changes in my skin. Of course, these changes were not steep and did not happen overnight, its rather incremental and took its time to work.
I can feel my skin has become smoother and even. I realize these changes more distinctively, especially when I am getting ready for a party/event, because even with little base make up my skin looks prepped.
Other Comments: This product will take it’s time to work and changes will not occur overnight (I strongly feel that’s the correct way a skincare product should work, any aggressive changes might not be good for skin). So, a little patience is required when someone is using this Day Cream and need to give it some time to work.
My Rating: 4.3 out of 5.
Hey konkana. Good start by you and soumu. Especially for lazy asses like me who just go by word of mouth for products rather than trying for over a period of time. I enjoy your reviews. Just would be great if you also mention the cons of the products. Am sure there must be something we don’t like about a product.. However little it might be. That will help people like me to decide to go ahead with it or not. Rest like I said, I enjoy your reviews and I think I will try one or two of the same for sure 🙂🙂
Hi Deepthi,Thanks for your constructive feedback.
I generally write the “Caution” in the “other comments” section.
So far I picked up the products that I liked, however when I will review products which are not so good I will mention in the review. 🙂 🙂
P.S. Soumyadip is asking you to read the travel section as well. 🙂
