This Maybelline New York Super Stay Matte Ink is a recent addition to my Lip Colour collection. However, because last month was “December – the month of Celebration”, I got plenty of opportunity to wear it and got ample insight to talk about it.
Cost: MRP for 5ml is 650 Indian Rupees. (MRP, as mentioned on the product when I purchased.)
Description: This is a Liquid Lip Colour. I bought shade 20 Pioneer– which is vibrant red.
How Do I apply this Liquid Lip Colour: I feel a major part of applying Lipstick/Lip colour is prepping the lips correctly. That becomes even more important while using this Liquid Lip Colour. Because if lips are dry/chapped, then lips might feel a bit stretchy after application of this Liquid Lip Colour. At the same time, if lips are coated with extra lip balm/lip moisturizer the formula of this Liquid Lip Colour might not work properly and lips might look patchy after application.
So, I make sure my lips are adequately moistured. To reconfirm this, I prefer to press tissue on my lips, so that any excess moisture gets absorbed and my lips are perfectly prepped for the application.
After I apply this Maybelline New York Super Stay Matte Ink, I give it sometime to dry.
My Overall Experience about this Product: So, the most important factor about this Lip Colour and which I like most about it is – it is Transfer Proof. I have tested it in many occasions, it doesn’t transfer colour.
The applicator is long and the tip is shaped as such that it reaches all the corners of lips without much effort.
Though It feels little (read it very little 😊) heavy on lips. However, it gives full coverage and make my lips looks fuller.
Other Comments: Sometime we do mix different lip colours to achieve any particular shade. However, I would suggest not to mix any other lip colour/lip stick, especially creamy ones with this Liquid Lip Colour. Otherwise, lips might end up looking patchy.
