Oregon is a Pacific Northwest State of USA and is known for its diverse Landscape ranging from Coastal Area to the Mountains. The people of this state love adventures and there are plenty of opportunities here. You can go camping, Skiing, Trail Biking, Hiking, Kayaking etc. and the list goes on.

In this article, we will list down some of the options that you can do while you are in Oregon.  Oregon has plenty to offer, and our list is just a small portion of it.

Mount Hood: This majestic snow-covered volcanic mountain is visible from far, even from the neighbouring Washington State. A lot of hiking trails in Oregon offers exotic views of this mountain.

Timberline Lodge: This is a ‘National Historic Landmark’ and was built during the Great Depression and was opened to the public in 1937. This is a mountain lodge with a museum inside. This is also Ski resort and the best part is that it open 12 months a year. We went in June and we found enough snow here.

Trillium Lake: This lake is about 8 Miles from Mount Hood and have excellent views of Mount Hood over the waters. This lake is popular for kayaking and there are quite a few camping grounds close by.

White River Snow Park: This is another great place for Snow Boarding and amateur Skiing. This area often remains crowded in the weekends.

Pacific Crest Trail: This Long-Distance Trail runs from Mexico Border in the South to the Canadian Border in North. A good part of this Trail is through Oregon offers amazing views of the surroundings.

Cascade Locks: This city in the Hood County by the Columbia river is popular for hikers of the Pacific Crest Trail and has good options of restaurants, pubs etc. Windsurfing on the Columbia River is popular here. The Bridge of the Gods on the Columbia River connects Cascade Locks with Washington State and the Pacific Crest Trail crosses the Columbia River through this bridge.

These are some good places to visit, if you are planning for a trip to Oregon. The region stays beautiful throughout the year. However, the winters are cold and Snow Storms are not too rare. Rain is frequent, and heavy at times. Do remember to check for the weather while planning for a trip.
