In this travel guide, we will list down 5 of the interesting hotels in South India. We will also highlight their uniqueness.
1. Le Pondy Beach Resort, Pondicherry: In terms of location, this is one the best resorts that we have stayed. This resort has a kind of Private Beach on one side and Backwaters on another. In Pondicherry, there are no beaches near the Town. The Promenade in Pondicherry is beautiful, but if want your feet in the sand or go into the water, you don’t have the option. So, most of the tourists take a boat ride on the backwaters to the Paradise Islands. Le Pondy in just on the Paradise Islands. Since this resort has sea on one side and backwaters on another side, one can enjoy both Sun Rise and Sunset in the water from the same resort, this is rare for most of the resorts of the world. It is well maintained; the entire structure resembles the Resorts of Bali. The food is decent; however, the Bar is Small. It does have nice Lawns and a good Swimming Pool.
2. Royal Orchid Brindavan Garden Palace and Spa, Mysore, Karnataka: Brindavan Gardens is one of the most popular destination for tourists in Mysore and this hotel overlooks the Garden. This is a 24 Room hotel and the décor gives a feeling of Royalty. It doesn’t have elevators, so if you have problems in climbing the stairs, please ask for a Ground Floor Room when you make the booking. However, the views of the Garden are better from the 1st Floor and the 2nd Floor. The Food is very good, and it has a small Terrace Bar. It has a small Swimming Pool. The best part of this resort is, it gives access to the Brindavan Gardens before it opens for Public the morning. If you can wake up morning around Sun Rise you can enjoy the Gardens for yourself without any maddening crowd, which is common to Brindavan Gardens. Also, you get to see awesome views of sunset over the Krishna Raja Sagara Dam from the Hotel.
3. La Four Seasons, Yercaud, Tamil Nadu: The reason this resort finds a place in this article is because the way this resort is maintained. This is a hill resort with cottages lined around in the property. The entire property is extremely well maintained. It even has a Man Made Water Falls inside the property.
