Over the past few years one of my Skin Care Goal, is to reduce the external dependency of beauty parlours/salons. Because I truly believe that maintaining a ‘Good Skin’ is a continuous process and it doesn’t happen overnight. So, having less dependency and greater self-control is a major contributing factor for maintaining good skin.
So, I have been following few ‘Practices’ for healthy skin and in this article, I will list them down exclusively for you 😊.
Product Research– It is very important to do a thorough research about the Product before buying it. Part of that research can be reading reviews and seeking user opinion or experience about the product. Buying a product blindly by just seeing the commercials or campaigns is not a good practice when it comes to skin care.
Investing in Good Skin Care Product– When I spend money for purchasing a good skincare product, I treat that as an investment – investment towards a healthy skin.
Believe me, investing in good skin care products has never let me down.
Skin Care Routine– I believe, it is very important to have a skin care routine. Rather than using different skin care products randomly, it is better to have a fixed order of using products. I felt a change in my skin texture after I started following a skin care routine.
Maintaining Overall Hygiene: All the effort of choosing good products or following a skin care routine goes in vain, if overall hygiene is not maintained. Things like cleaning brushes and sponges, using clean towel/face tissue to wipe face, washing hand before using any products etc. are few of them. Maintaining overall hygiene doesn’t take much effort, however, if ignored, it will have adverse impact on skin.
Not Overdoing Things: When it comes to skin care we need to know where to stop and optimal way of doing things. According to me overdoing things is a strict no-no. For example, over-scrubbing will do more harm than good.
Being Gentle to My Skin: This is a practice I have even embedded in my unconscious mind 😊. It has become more of reflex nowadays – be it when I am applying products or even when I am cleansing my face, I always treat my skin gently.
Eating Right: As you might already know eating right is so very important for good skin. Unfortunately, even after multiple attempts I have failed to follow any diet chart ☹. So, I try to keep it simple – I eat only those things which my body can process with least effort and can digest easily – like vegetables, fruits etc.
