Though I try to create different hair looks every time I shoot, but trust me, creating new hair style every time can be really challenging. However, with the aid of hair styling tools this job becomes little easy.
So, I wanted to buy Alan Truman Hot Stick Professional Slim Curler for some time and finally I bought it 😊.
Before I start reviewing this Product, I just want to mention that in this review, I will focus on this Product’s performance and tell you my experience as a user. I will not talk much about the technical specifications of this Product as you can easily find it in the Brand’s website.
Cost: MRP of this Product is 3499 Indian Rupees. (MRP, as mentioned on the product when I purchased.)
Description: The Model details mentioned on the Product is Hot Stick TPC08P.
The Alan Truman Hot Stick Professional Slim Curler came with sturdy box cover. It is an electric operated Device and the power cord is attached with the Product. The part of the power cord which is attached to the Device can be rotated 360 degrees.
The shape of the curling rod is rectangular and also it has a Cool-tip to protect from burns.
It has a regulator with which the Product can be switched on/off and also the temperature can be controlled and the temperature ranges from 120 degree Celsius to 230 degree Celsius. It has a power on Light Indicator.
Also, it has a Heat Protect Stand.
Please note, this Product didn’t have any manual.
How Do I use this Product: I start off prepping my hair by detangling it and brushing it.
Then I spray my heat protection spray all over my hair and allow it to settle. When the heat protection spray is settled and hair is completely dry, I divide my hair into sections.
After that I start heating the Alan Truman Hot Stick Professional Slim Curler and I normally set the temperature towards the higher temperatures. When I switch on and set up the temperature, the light indicator starts to blink and when Device attains the set temperature, the blinking stops and becomes a fixed red light. I then switch off the Device before I start using it on my hair and again, I switch it on when I need to reheat it.
After my hair is completely done, I spray hairspray to fix my hair style.
My Overall Experience about this Product: As I am using this type of Hair Curler for the first time, I feel it would have been great if the Product came with a manual. Though the usage is not so complicated it is good to have a manual handy for reference.
This Device gets heated up really quick and it is lightweight. What I like about this Product is that the curling rod doesn’t get stuck to my hair or catches my hair and I can release the curls from the curling rod without any struggle. I never get any burning smell even though I normally heat and use it on higher temperatures.
I like the quality of curls I can create with this Product, they are tight and looks absolutely gorgeous.
I feel this type of Device is much easier to use on longer hair (below shoulder length) than on short hair, simply because it requires a bit of hair length to wrap around the curling rod.
Few of the features of this Product are very practical and useful:
- The power cord is long and also as it rotates, it makes the usage, easy and flexible.
- The light indicator is very useful as I have mentioned above.
- The heat protect stand helps to place the Device safely while it is heating or heated and I do not have to worry that it might burn the surface (on which I am placing it) while it is heating.
- The cool-tip attached to the tip of the curling rod has saved me from burning my hands and skin, specially while I am working on short hair. However, please note the cool-tip doesn’t remain absolutely cold and gets a bit heated as well.
After I switch off the Device, it takes a little time to cool. According to my testing it took more than 10 minutes to cool (after switching off) when I heated it to 230 degree Celsius.
To sum up, the Alan Truman Hot Stick Professional Slim Curler is absolutely practical and useful Product and helps to create gorgeous hair style with less effort.
My Rating: 4.2 out of 5.
