Ooty as hill station needs no introduction and it is one of the most popular mountain destinations in South India. However, in this article, we will discuss about a Resort which is far from the busy hill station and located amidst nature.
Destiny – The Farm Resort is situated about 22 kilometres from Ooty town and it takes about an hour to reach the resort’s parking. The last 2 kilometres of the road leading to the parking is very bad and cars with low ground clearance will find it difficult to reach the parking.
From the parking, the resort is 3 kilometres away and one needs to board the 4X4 vans with big tyres to reach the location. The road is extremely bad and is not safe for people with health conditions. Below is the picture of the 4X4 Van that took us to the resort:
Once, that hurdle is crossed, you reach an amazing world of lush green fields, with an animal farm having horses, cattle and rabbits with the Emerald Lake in the background. The Resort is spread across a huge area and is Pet Friendly. Below are some of the pictures of the amazing resort area:
The resort offers a bunch of adventure activities and horse riding; however, we could not do any of those as the weather was bad when we visited.
When we visited the resort in August, 2022 with our fur baby, we stayed in the Luxury Room. Though the room was slightly far from the main building, it was a nice, with a living room having excellent view of the surroundings and a large sized bedroom with a Fireplace. We did not get Wi-Fi in the room and mobile network was almost non-existent. Also, the room did not have a television set. If the objective is to move away from the technology and live amidst nature, then this is an excellent place. Below are the pictures of the room and the adjoining area:
The food is decent and the breakfast spread was nice. They even provide food for the pets. Below are the pictures of the dining room and the reception area:
Overall, this place is for adventurous nature lovers and this is a really a unique resort.
