I started appreciating the contribution of Contour even more, after I started shooting for my website. I could vividly see the difference of how my face appeared on screen when I contoured vs. when I didn’t contour. So, for me, contouring has become a non-negotiable step.
Kay Beauty ChiselStar Contour Stick is one my recent purchased Contour, I have used it for couple of times and hence, ready to talk about it.
Cost: I couldn’t find the MRP mentioned on the Product, however the MRP mentioned on the site from which I purchased is 599 Indian Rupees.
Description: The shade I bought is Coco Focus. The Contour Stick is more like thick pencil. The Contour Stick needs to be sharpened in order to access the Product.
How Do I use this Product: I draw single line at a time, rather than the entire face altogether and blend it with my finger immediately.
My Overall Experience about this Product: It has moderate pigment and it feels smooth when I am applying it.
However, I feel there are scopes of improvements.
First of all, If I talk about Blendability- it requires a bit of effort to blend this Product perfectly on skin. I need to use only my finger to blend this Product, as blender sponges do not work properly with this Product. I have observed that good amount of Product gets absorbed on finger while blending rather than staying on skin. Also, I need to blend this Product immediately after application, otherwise it becomes very difficult to blend.
I also would have appreciated this Kay Beauty ChiselStar Contour Stick better if it had a roll up bottom to access the Product, as I feel sharpening results in lots of product wastage.
Other Comments: Try to be as gentle as possible while blending this Product on skin, otherwise it may tamper the layering of makeup and also may hurt your skin.
My Rating: 2.9 out of 5.
