Before I buy any product, I keep some preset criteria in my mind so it is easier for me to buy exactly what I want, effortlessly.
I bought Kiko Milano Unexpected Paradise Twist Brush Waterproof Mascara primarily because of two reasons- number one is because it is mentioned as Waterproof and number two is its Packaging.
But has this Product met my expectations or has it failed to do so? … in this review I will elaborate my experience of using this Product.
Cost: MRP of this Product (Net Quantity 7.5 ml) is 1500 Indian Rupees. (MRP, as mentioned on the product when I purchased.)
Description: This Product comes in a good packaging.
The main attraction of this Mascara is its applicator. With little twist on the top of the applicator, the brush extends. According to the Brand, this extended form of the brush helps to achieve length and volume.
In the below pictures, the brush is in the extended form.
With another twist on the top of the applicator, the brush contracts. According to the Brand, the contracted form of the brush helps to achieve curl and volume.
In the below pictures, the brush is in the contracted form.
The colour of this Kiko Milano Unexpected Paradise Twist Brush Waterproof Mascara is Black.
How Do I use this Product: While testing, I have used this Mascara in different ways. According to my experience, the best way to use this Mascara is to first coat the lashes with the extended form of the brush and then use the contracted form of the brush.
Also, I need to swipe the brush multiple times on my lashes, at least 12 strokes with each form (extended and contracted) of the brush and while doing this process I need to keep on taking Product from the bottle multiple times (at least thrice) – only this way I can achieve the finish I desire. I try to keep the number of strokes equal on both eyes, so that both the eyes look balanced.
My Overall Experience about this Product: First observation about this Mascara which broke my heart is it is NOT WATERPROOF. Because, initially I couldn’t believe it is not waterproof I kept on testing this aspect multiple times and every time I got the same result- it melts when it comes in contact with water. This is the reason I avoid using this Mascara on my lower lashes and I use very little amount only when I have not applied kajal or similar products.
Though the applicator is innovative, I am not so happy with the quality of the brush. It is a bit hard and also it pokes my skin which is attached to the lashes. With the extended form of the brush, it is easy to cover the entire lashes and also it gives a bit of length. The contracted form of the brush gives curling effect to the lashes by pushing them upward, however it is difficult to cover the entire lashes with this contracted form of the brush and also lashes look a bit pointed at the tip. As I have mentioned above it gives decent finish when I use this Mascara combining both the forms of brush.
Also, I need to use too much of Product to add even little bit of volume.
In a nutshell, this is definitely not one my excellent purchase.
My Rating: 3 out of 5.
