Contouring and Highlighting is something which I cannot afford to miss while I am applying makeup, because I have super round face. Unfortunately, whatever I eat, it seems they go straight up to my face and make my face chubby😊. So, to make my features prominent, I need to Contour and Highlight my face whenever I am putting on makeup.
I have been using this Maybelline New York V-FACE Duo Stick for some time now and I want to share my thoughts about this product with you.
Cost: MRP for 8 gram is 670 Indian Rupees. (MRP, as mentioned on the product when I purchased.)
Description: The one I bought is in shade 03 Dark.
It is a dual stick Contourer and Highlighter. One side of it contains a Contourer and the other side contains Highlighter. Both tips of the cover are transparent. So, it becomes easy to see which side contains what. These are cream based Contourer and Highlighter
My Overall Experience about this Product:
I have already shared how I choose my highlighter/similar products in my review of Kiko Milano Ocean Feel Highlighter (https://styletravelandmore.com/kiko-milano-ocean-feel-highlighter-review/) So, I have evaluated this product more or less on the same parameters.
So, this product (I am talking about both the Contourer and Highlighter) is cream based and feels light on skin. Earlier, I used to think that cream-based product feels a bit heavy on skin. However, this V-FACE Duo Stick has proved me wrong and am happy it did so.
Both the Contourer and Highlighter have medium pigment and they blend perfectly with minimal effort.
The best part of this product is the Highlighter. The pigment is medium, It is smooth and blends perfectly. What I like about the highlighter is its subtlety. When I wear it, it almost gives a glow from within and it is perfect for “No Makeup” makeup look. I have tried it both with Minimal and Heavy Base Makeup, it works fine.
How Do I use this Product: Well, for contouring I apply the stick directly and blend it.
For highlighting, If I am wearing very light base makeup, I use the stick directly on face. However, If I wear heavy base make up, I prefer to pick up some Highlighter from the stick with my fingers and tab them gently on my face where I need to highlight. The reason I don’t use the stick directly when I am wearing heavy makeup is that the stick may disturb the layering of base makeup.
Other Comments: Frankly, I don’t have any specific comment for this product. Just be a little careful while blending the Contourer. So that there is no visible lines on your face.
My Rating: 4 out of 5.
