Wayanad is a hilly district of Kerala and has lush green forests, amazing lakes and waterfalls and caves just to name a few. This district also has some exotic resorts.
We visited the Mountain Shadows Resort in Wayanad, Kerala in March 2022. This is a luxury resort with amazing views of the Banasura Sagar Lake.
The last few kilometres of the road leading to the resort isn’t good as it is on the forest. But once we crossed that, we reached an exotic world of amazing views. There is ample parking in the resort and from the parking, electric buggies took us to the reception and the villa.
The villa is large with a spacious balcony offering spectacular view of the Banasura Sagar Lake. Since the resort is spread over a large area on a hilly terrain, buggies can be used to reach the reception area and the villas.
The reception area also has lounges, dining room and the infinity swimming pool.
The food in the restaurant is pretty good, however, the options are limited.

Overall, this resort is on the expensive side, but if you are willing to pay for it, you can be assured of a wonderful luxurious experience.
