In June 2023 we visited The Mandal Woods Homestay in Chikmagalur. The Mandal Woods allowed pets when we visited and we travelled with our dog.
The Resort is in an amazing location and view of the mountains in front of the resort is just outstanding. Even though the resort is deep inside a coffee plantation, the roads leading to it isn’t bad.
The only negative thing about this resort is that the pet friendly rooms aren’t good. They are very old and not maintained well.
The package included Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and the quality of the food was pretty good. They have very few staffs working in the resort, but they are hard-working and very well behaved.
If you are travelling with your pet, they would have a very good time in the open lawns.

If you are travelling with your pet, it is better to check with the property once before booking as the policies might change and, in some cases, only a few specific rooms are pet friendly.
