Over the years, life has taught me the power of “Taking the First Step”.

Taking the First Step has never been easy for me because of “Fear of Unknown”. But when I contemplate, I realize how every “First Step” has changed my life for good and still is changing for better.

If I take a look at the timeline of my life, all significant upliftments happened when I took that “First Step”

It has changed my life when I first decided to leave the comfort of my home to pursue my Dream and even now, when I have decided to start something new to do what I “Love”

So, what are the enablers which give the strength to Take the First Step?

Calculation over Speculation – I have realized it is good to be calculative rather than speculative. When I calculate I could at least think of the probable risks and get an idea what I am getting into. This helps me to reduce my “Fear of Unknown”. But when I speculate, I tend to over think and things become more unnerving.

Importance of “Uncomfort Zone” – When I start something new, it means I am stepping out of my comfort zone and stepping into the “uncomfort zone”. But every time I step into this “uncomfort zone” I learn and grow. This makes me fit to survive and succeed.

So now that I know how being in “uncomfort zone” enables my strength, it no longer intimidates me.

Selective Advice – When I want to start something new, I prefer to take selective advice and only from those who not only empathize but also are credible.  Everyone will have their opinion, but I only pick up those which relate to my situation.

Don’t Look Back – As I have mentioned earlier, I calculate before I decide. But when I decide, I don’t look back.

So, this is my thought about “Taking the First Step”, let me know how would you Take the First Step in the comment section.
